Woodsworth Group Marketing Manager

Location: Oakworth, West Yorkshire

Shifts: One 8 Hour shift per week

Term: Initial term: 6 months, potential to become permanent.

Pay: £14 per hour

Role Overview:

Woodsworth Group comprises of two companies, Woodsworth Exploring and Woodsworth Managing.  To make the most of the group’s hard work, we need some help to develop our external profile.  To achieve this, the role will be to carry out at least the tasks below:

  • Perform Market Research to ascertain where our products sit in the market.
  • Help the public know and understand the value of our products.
  • Increase awareness of our companies’ products.
  • Help design and target new products to increase facility utilisation.
  • Work with our content creators to plan and help create marketing material.

Ideal Candidate:

To be able to add value and work in our team, the ideal candidate will have the following experiences and skills:

  • Have some experience of running marketing campaigns and performing marketing research.
  • Ideally, they will also hold a degree (of any discipline) or equivalent level education award, this is not mandatory with relevant experience.
  • Be willing and able to work with us to achieve our principles and values.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills allowing them to work as part of a team, communicating clearly and regularly.
  • Be able to take responsibility for their area of work.
  • Have an interest in the sustainable use of outdoor spaces.
  • Be able to organise their work and agree sensible deadlines for tasks.
  • Be able to come up with creative low-cost solutions or justify spending with a calculated business case.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Hours and Place of work

This role will be for a fixed term 6-month contract of 8 hours per week, paid at £14 per hour. 

After 6 months, if the successful candidate has met required targets, there may be an option to extend the role to a permanent position.

This employment will be based on Slaymaker Lane in Oakworth, while some home working may be available, you should expect to work from the office for most shifts to allow you to work as part of the team.

Woodsworth Exploring Camp Warden

Location: Oakworth, West Yorkshire

Shifts: Casual Work, likely to be around 5 hours per week

Term: Initial term: 6 months, possibility to extend if desired by both parties.

Pay: Dependant on applicant’s skills and experience.

Role Overview:

Woodsworth Exploring has a unique woodland campsite based on Slaymaker Lane, Oakworth.  We’re looking for someone to help us welcome campers, explain a bit to them about the woodland and help to make sure the site is prepared for them.

This job is ideal for someone looking to earn some extra money around other commitments, such as study or work, or someone that is looking for a small commitment during retirement.  It is mostly carried out in the woodland and provides some excellent time for you to connect with nature!

A list of the typical duties would include:

  • Welcome Campers to the site and guiding them to the pitch.
  • Give the campers information about the local area and ecology.
  • Maintaining safety on the site.
  • Prepare logs, pits and safety equipment for fires.
  • Site maintenance and repair.
  • Cleaning the facilities.
  • Help with recycling waste.
  • Pitching and storing our hire equipment (tents, hammocks or parachutes).

Please be aware, while required adjustments will be made where they are beneficial, practical, affordable and safe for others, there are physical elements to this role, so a base level of physical fitness will be required.

Hours and Place of work

Hours will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, fitting in with the arrival of campers. Additional hours may be available.

Whilst this will need to be determined and agreed, an example shift pattern might be 6 hours on a Saturday one week, then 2 hrs on a Friday and 2 hours on a Sunday the next, alternating each week. 

After 6 months, if the employer and employee wish, and are able, to continue then the contract may be extended.

This employment will be based on Slaymaker Lane in Oakworth, all shifts will be onsite.
